One Step Closer

I just received my Letter of Acceptance from the CCAA so Jack is now officially going to be adopted by our family. For those who aren't familiar with the LOAs, they basically tell you that the CCAA has accepted you as a qualified adoptive parent and you can now apply for travel approval. We should be heading to China in about a month - just in time for the hottest, muggiest weather China can muster!

Madeline is getting ready for the trip by trying out her new Heely's. The two of us came up with the bright idea that these would be wonderful to have in the airport to help wheel her around if she gets tired. Yes, a very bright idea until she falls and we have to make a trip to the hospital! Meigan, on the other hand, is practicing tying her shoes so she can teach Jack this when we get there. The problem is that her version of "tying" is a series of knots that she hands to me to unravel when she is done. My getting ready for the trip to China involves running to watch Madeline's many requests to "see me on my Heely's", untying newly done knots and in the meantime trying to clean the house and finish the last bit of paperwork. It is going to be a long, busy month!
