- I am Jennifer Karolak a single adoptive parent living in Ohio. My daughters are Madeline and Meigan. Madeline is a seven year old Chinese-American girl. She is the logical, factual member of our family who keeps us on track! Meigan is a four year old Chinese-American girl. She states that she was "born to be happy" and that is an understatement!
